What size filter do you need?

Standard Size Filter:

If you’re replacing a filter, you’ll find that your existing filter is probably smaller than the measurements printed on the side.  For example, a filter marked 20 X 20 X 1 is usually only 19 5/8 X 19 5/8 X 7/8 inches (i.e. the major dimensions are 3/8 of an inch smaller than what’s printed on the filter and the thickness is 1/8 to ¼ of an inch thinner).

Exact Size Filter:

If you measure the filter opening carefully you can determine the exact size filter needed. Note, Air-Care Electrostatic Filters will not bend so if you have to “force” your existing cardboard filter in its’ slot then make sure you specify a slightly smaller size for your new filter.  Please double-check your custom sized filter measurements as custom sizes cannot be returned if they are ordered wrong.

NOTE: 

Air-Care 1” thick filters are actually 7/8 of an inch in thickness, making them 100% compatible with existing filter slots.  Air-Care Electrostatic Filters are also available in 2” thickness.  Please specify your desired thickness.
